Redefining Prom: From Basic Poses to Editorial Edge

Who says prom pictures have to feel like yearbook leftovers? For this session we swapped stiff studio backdrops for the glittering geometry of Miami’s City Skyline—and rolled in on four wheels of pure luxury. A rented Bentley Flying Spur, polished to a mirror shine, became both prop and pedestal, reflecting sunset hues while adding a dose of red-carpet swagger. Think golden light cascading off skyscrapers, neon after-glow dancing on the bay, and a couple whose style rivaled the city lights of Brickell.

Styling & Glam Squad

When you want “wow” on camera, start with hair and makeup that can keep pace. Renata Estepan, Miami’s go-to beauty guru, crafted a sleek side-sweep and soft-smoky eye that felt equal parts prom queen and red-carpet veteran. Paired with a tailored tux and a mermaid-silhouette gown in midnight velvet, the couple looked like they’d stepped off a fashion editorial—exactly the vibe we were after.

Who said Prom Photos need to be basic and regular.  We went for a modern edge and pulled it off.  One of my favorite sessions featuring Miami’s City Skyline. Hair and makeup by Renata Estepan. 

Breaking the “Prom Photo” Mold

Traditional prom portraits center on posed smiles and pastel backdrops. Our goal was to bottle Miami’s cosmopolitan spirit—sky-high architecture, luxury wheels, and fashion-forward styling—and serve it with cinematic confidence. The result? Images at home in a luxury magazine or on an Instagram grid—proof that milestone moments deserve more than cookie-cutter treatment.
